Becoming a member of Horse Cave Christian Church begins with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Church membership is more than joining a congregation—it's becoming part of a family of believers committed to following Christ together.
Step 1: Place Your Faith in Jesus Christ
The first step is becoming a Christian.
Do you recognize that you are a sinner in need of God's forgiveness? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again? Are you willing to turn from your sin, receive His forgiveness, and follow Him as the Lord of your life?
The Bible teaches that salvation is found through faith in Jesus Christ alone. By trusting Him as your Savior and Lord, you receive God's grace, forgiveness, and the promise of eternal life.
If you have made that decision, we encourage you to publicly confess your faith. During any worship service, you are welcome to come forward during the invitation following the sermon and share your decision with one of our pastors. We would be honored to pray with you and help you take your next steps in your walk with Christ.
Step 2: Follow Christ in Baptism
If you have placed your faith in Jesus but have not yet been baptized by full immersion as a believer, we encourage you to take this important step of obedience.
Baptism does not save us, but it is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes His death, burial, and resurrection, as well as the new life we have in Him.
If you have previously trusted Christ but have never been immersed as a believer, we would be honored to baptize you.
Step 3: Become Part of Our Church Family
After placing your faith in Christ and following Him in believer's baptism, you may become a member of Horse Cave Christian Church.
If you are already a baptized believer and a member of another Bible-believing church, you may also unite with our church by transferring your membership.
No matter where you are in your faith journey, we would love the opportunity to get to know you, answer your questions, and help you find your place in our church family.
